[promo] Gupter Zine Issue 9!

September 4, 2011

Gupter Puncher issue 9 is out in HK.

It’s pretty much the same as it was before. A bit smaller, and with less pages, but still decent.

It’s also completely black and white, like a two dollar Coppola film. We did this because it’s cheaper [whereas Coppola probably does it for art/ego reasons]. It still looks okay, I think.

The cover is the bandit gang from A few dollars more. Zasulich drew it a while back and this is the first time I’ve had a reason to use it. I like that film a lot. Especially the duel in the stone circle at the end. Such a lonely place to die.

Inside, there’s some stuff that’s been on this site. I don’t feel too bad about that because a] it’s good stuff, and b] no one in HK has read it before anyway.

What else?

There’s a Ryan Reynolds quote. And one from Harrison Ford too.

Not much else to say about it.

I started delivering the zine two days ago. Most places in HK are friendly, one or two are not. It’s a hard place to impress people, unless you already have some weight behind your name.

We don’t.

But I guess most people come round if what you’re doing is decent and you knock on their door enough times. That’s how it works most places.

Thanks, man [woman?], we’re hoping you’re not the only one who’s interested. Might have to fly my mum out here otherwise.
